Bronzer is one product that I can't seem to get enough of. I love experimenting with different brands and shades. I spotted this Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzer in Sephora on my recent trip to Las Vegas. Too Faced is a brand that I have never tried before so I was excited to give them a go.
Firstly I love the packaging. I believe they have redesigned the compact recently. It is a beautiful gold colour with detailing around the edge. Inside the compact is a decent sized mirror too which is always handy for touch ups.
The first thing that hits you when you open up the compact is the smell. It actually smells like chocolate!I personally really love the scent. Too faced have infused this bronzer with antioxidant-rich cocoa powder which gives it its sweet smell. Don't worry its overpowering.
Chocolate Soleil is a medium to deep matte bronzer with warm undertones. The colour of it definitely reminds me of chocolate! The colour for me is just the right mix of orange and brown. I do tend to go for warmer bronzers as I don't like looking too muddy. I wear this bronzer all over my face to warm up my complexion or as my contour. It works great both ways and gives me a healthy glow. The formula is silky smooth but not too chalky. Chocolate Soleil has good pigmentation and you only need to dip your brush in once to get good colour pay off on the skin. Its also very buildable so its always best to go in with a light hand and build it up as desired. It wears really well and lasted about 6-7 hours on my skin.
Chocolate Soleil comes in a Milk Chocolate version which is lighter and more suitable for paler skin tones. Although some bronzers work for every skin tone I like it when company's stock two shades.
This is the first product I have tried from Too Faced and I am impressed. I think this bronzer is great for people who like a deep bronzer and aren't put off by the chocolate scent. Although I can promise you it smells delicious! I do think it is a little on the pricey side, but I have been using it for about two months straight and haven't made a dent in it so I think it should last a while.
Available in the UK and other countries from Beauty Bay at £25
